Rick Allen, the drummer for Def Leppard, plays drums one-handed using a combination of innovative techniques and customized drum kits. After losing his left arm in a car accident in 1984, Allen adapted by incorporating foot pedals to trigger electronic drum pads. These pedals allow him to perform rhythms and sounds that would normally be played with his left hand. His drum kit includes both acoustic and electronic elements, which are carefully arranged to maximize his efficiency and performance.
